Time: 7:00pm to 8:30pm
Location: Hodel Center Coffee Shop, Patrick Henry College
About the Event
The Economics and Business Analytics (EBA) program at Patrick Henry College (PHC) is pleased to host the Institute for Faith Work & Economics (IFWE) on the evening of Wednesday, November 5, 2014 for a discussion of their new book, For the Least of These: A Biblical Answer to Poverty. The event will be held in the coffee shop in the Hodel Center at PHC from 7:00pm to 8:30pm and is open to the public.
The bible is clear that Christians are called to help the poor, but many Christians are uncertain how to achieve this biblical command in an economically sustainable manner. IFWE scholars Anne Bradley and Art Lindsey will discuss how their institute seeks to equip Christians with both a solid biblical and economic understanding of how best to care for the poor and foster sustainable economic development and human flourishing.
PHC economist and Director of the EBA program, Dr. Daniel Bennett, will host the event. Please visit the EBA Facebook page at http://facebook.com/EBAatPHC for more information on the EBA program.
The Institute for Faith, Work & Economics™ (IFWE) is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) Christian research organization committed to promoting biblical and economic principles that help individuals find fulfillment in their work and contribute to a free and flourishing society.
